I work at the intersection of language and image. Like a shoreline that belongs to many countries, this type of work spans mediums and subject matter, but is always lingering at the place where two very different forms connect. I am at turns a filmmaker, photographer, printmaker, painter, author, and graphic designer- not as a result of a shattered persona, but of a conceptual arrow that affirms “form follows function” and the “the medium is the message”.

Art at it’s best is connecting my inner world with the outside world, and continues into the audience’s inner world -an arrow which passes through them all, like the collective unconcsious.

I delineate the relationship between inner and outer worlds through questioning everything- authority, gender, class, color, line. The only way to work through interrogations such as these is to make a thing in response to the question. I QUESTION. I MAKE THING.
